Le Mont Saint Michel is a must visit whilst in Normandy. This medieval town welcomes over three million people every year, including tourists and pilgrims. The ancient Burgher’s Guardroom is now the Tourist office. After passing through both the Boulevard and Kings Gates you’ll come to the main street (Grande Rue) which houses the museums, shops and houses dating back to 15th and 16th centuries.

There are several Museums on the island including the archeoscope which will open your eyes to the construction of the monument and its history.
Museum of history houses old collections of weapons, paintings, sculptures and more, plus the prisons and dungeons.
The Maritime and ecology museum will show you about the bay, the tides and the restoration projects.
Tiphaine’s house is a glimpse at a 14th century residence of Bertrand Duguesclin had built in 1365 for his wife Tiphaine (furniture, paintings, tapestries)
You’ll eventually reach the Grande Degre or Grande Staircase leading to the Abbey church which is a huge panoramic view of medieval architecture from the 11th to the 16th century.
