Not everybody fancies a trip to the beach for their holiday and a stay in a mountain can be extremely memorable. There are many cabins tucked away in the mountains in countries like Austria, Croatia, France, Germany, Italy, Norway and Switzerland, and you really get a good amount of peace and quiet on these holidays.
You also get fabulous views, while most of these locations will have activities like rafting, climbing or assailing and if you’re a keen adventurer then it’s a holiday you must consider. There are not many shops, restaurants, pubs and this works to its advantage. You’re essentially out in the wilds and accommodation varies.
There is a number of large complexes in the mountains, especially the Alps and that means after a day of exploring you can return to your cabin to have a wonderful meal with the warm fire roaring in the background. It may not be the most common type of holiday but it’s one any adventurer must mull over.
