Madrid has developed significantly over the years, and while there’s plenty of history and culture to take in, there’s also endless amount of shops and restaurants as well as convenient public transport. Street festivals take place in May and it’s during these warmer months where the city really comes to life.

The nightlife in Madrid is thriving but it has something to offer for evey type of person. If you’re an art lover then the San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts Museum is perfect and it’s not usually crowded, but if you’re a sports fan then you have to visit the huge Real Madrid Bernabeu Stadium. Here, you can pay to walk down the tunnel out onto the pitch, while the trophies can be viewed up close.
